During this workshop, you will learn how to adapt through change by exploring past challenges and move towards growth. Together we will explore our stories with parallels in nature by creating a mini terrarium. All supplies are included.

Gardening is a mindfulness practice. Research has shown that gardening has a positive impact on mental and emotional health as well as on brain chemistry. During this workshop, you will learn the benefits of gardening on mental health as well as how to start your gardening journey. Together we will practice mindfulness as you create your own herb garden. All supplies are included.

God created an amazing world. Have you ever been so stressed out that you just stepped outside to get some fresh air, or took a walk in the woods and noticed how you felt afterwards? Nature heals. Come learn about how and why nature shifts us from the stress response to a relaxation response in our bodies. Together we will practice mindful movement using our 5 senses and will complete a nature inspired piece of art. All art supplies will be included. Please bring a yoga mat. (Depending on weather, we may also go on a short nature walk, so please be mindful of the shoes you wear).

Mindfulness is the practice of being present in the moment, aware of what you sense and feel, without judgement. All too often in life we move through life worrying about the future or dwelling on the past and we miss the blessings and moments of JOY that are right in front of us. During this workshop we will learn about and practice the art of mindfulness while making our own candles. All supplies are included.

What we consume affects our mental and emotional health. Often people are consuming processed foods that wreak havoc on the body. If our gut is unhealthy, our mind will be also. Join Brittany Edie, along with Registered Dietitian and Nutritionist, Michele Tasker to learn about the mind-gut connection and what you can do to improve your overall health. We will be joined by Charcuterie by Rose who will teach us how to create a beautiful, healthy snack. All supplies and food included.

We live in a stress induced world. Our bodies are meant to operate out of the parasympathetic nervous system (relaxation response), however we are often stuck in the sympathetic nervous system (stress response). During this workshop you will learn quick, go-to techniques to shift your body from the stress response to the relaxation response. We will be joined by nurse and wellness advocate, Melissa Kichler, to create a personalized oil blend to help you stress less!

Breathe. Too often, we forget that simple gift and move through life holding our breath. When we learn to control our breath, we learn to control our bodily responses. We can easily access the parasympathetic nervous system by learning different ways to breathe. During this workshop you will be invited to engage in various breathing techniques and gentle movement. Together we will create a piece of art using our gift of breath. All art supplies are included. Please bring a yoga mat.

This 6 week class will help students explore the mind-body connection and how breathing methods, gentle movement & body awareness can help you manage stress. Classes include a mix of education, discussion, mindfulness techniques, yoga & weekly assignments. We encourage you to attend all six sessions for maximum benefit!
